Monday

Today has been a very hectic day, worse than normal. The cut above my eye seems to be very swollen. I can’t believe that thug! How dare he hit me, it was definitely him who pushed that girl at the bus stop! I think his name is Harley, what an ignorant name! He’s so big-headed, flexing his muscles, showing off to the girls. Couldn’t he see that the pretty blonde girl wasn’t interested? It was when I was looking at her that there was a huge crash. I turned round and everyone was surrounding someone in the road. That guy Harley ran to her first, obviously showing he was the guilty party. Suddenly I was accusing him of pushing her. I don’t know why – the words just came out of my mouth. I guess it was the shock. He looked at me like a blood-thirsty animal, fists flaying – I had no choice. I’m not the fighting type, but he made me so angry, it seemed the right thing to do at the time. But I’m not so sure now. I hope the girl is all right, the police couldn’t tell us anything. I’ve never seen her before. To add to this I’ve been given tons of coursework to do by tomorrow, so I better get on and do it!Write soon, Edward 

Wednesday 

Sorry I didn’t write yesterday, I got in late after sailing club. It was jolly good! – Not!! The people at the club don’t understand me, they are so materialistic. “Oh, daddy, I need a new boat!” “OK, dear, I’ll get you one today.” They are all so spoilt.

Today I took Bernard for a walk. Sometimes I feel he is the only one that really understands me, he’s such a great listener. Dad isn’t home again. I don’t get to see him that often. Mum was in the kitchen all night with a bottle of Pinot Grigio. I think I heard her fall into bed around midnight. I was about to fall asleep when I heard a scratching at my door. I opened it and that was when Bernard came bounding into my arms. He didn’t give me enough leg room to go to sleep in the end, but I still love him! (even if my feet get cold during the night)...
